Short Bio
Mr. Shariful Islam, Director, Operational Excellency of BERD. He has long teaching experiences in Education University level. He obtained his Bachelor of Education (Hons), Master of Education from the Institute of Education & Research (IER), University of Dhaka. He has the experiences of working with many government, NGOs and INGOs projects in the field of education. As an award winning emerging independent filmmaker, he has also the experiences in making educational short film including story writing, scripting and screenplay writing. Many of his creations awarded in different national-international film festival and onward. ‘The Tale of Neela’, The Secrete of HAPPINESS, ‘INVESTMENT’, ‘Sonar Bangla’, ‘Dream Drivers’, ‘COSMOPOLITAN’, ‘ALTERNATIVE’, are the awarded research based short films and documentary films. He is on process of pursuing PhD in the area of Film Schooling for Adult Learning.
